The Blue Alert Foundation does the following:

Charitable Initiative 1:

We have created, supported, maintained, promoted and operated the National Notification System, Blue Alert that enables the communication between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the social and wireless industries, to activate an urgent bulletin when a law enforcement officer is seriously injured or killed. The intention of the bulletin is to inform the local and state-to-state law enforcement agencies and the public of the fugitives that are at large and to expedite their apprehension. (Blue Alerts will be Added to the Emergency Alert System (EAS) in the Fall 2017)

Charitable Initiative 2:

We are working to bring support to the families of the fallen officers. The unexpected loss of life or the loss of everyday function can put a strain on these families. We are here to help in the most effective ways possible. The funds that we raise will help us help the foundations and families affected by such terrible loss.

Charitable Initiative 3:

We are working nationally to bring support to Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies all over the country by offering items that are necessary to the law enforcement officer’s jobs and safety.  Your donation and support will allow us to bring much needed items like ballistic vests for LEOs or K9s and K9 Training Equipment (Bite Suits) to Law Enforcement Agencies small and large.

National Blue Alert System

Based upon the success of the Amber and Silver Alerts and using the same notification system, Concerns of Police Survivors is asking law enforcement officers, agencies, and survivors to help put the “Blue Alert” into effect nationwide. As you may know, the Amber Alert is in effect for missing children and the Silver Alert is for missing senior citizens. These alerts function in many states across the nation. The Blue Alert will provide the means to speed the apprehension of violent criminals who kill or seriously injure local, state, or federal law enforcement officers.
